The Dalai Lama
has received numerous awards over his political career. The
most recent was on May 28, 2005 when he received the
Christmas Humphrey's Award from the Buddhist Society in the
United Kingdom. Perhaps his most notable award was the Nobel
Peace Prize in Oslo on December 10, 1989 (see below). Some
